CDW Motor-Operated (Gearhead) Wood Counter Door


Features

  • Oil tempered torsion springs designed for 20,000 life cycles
  • ¾” thick prime grade wood slats to provide a curtain that will not warp or twist over time
  • Tubular bottom bar to conceal all locking mechanisms
  • Internal System keeps slats together without visible cables or straps

Finish:

  • The wood curtain is unfinished. Shellac, varnish, paint, lacquer, or any finish that will effect the upward or downward motion of the door is not recommended.
  • The brackets and the barrel will have one (1) coat of bronze rust-inhibiting prime paint.
  • The hood will be furnished unfinished.

Choice of Woods

  • Oak/Birch - Available for doors up to 12 feet wide.
  • Douglas Fir- Available for doors up to 18 feet wide.

General:

  • Materials furnished with all Wood Counter Doors include all curtains, bottom bars, guides, brackets, hoods, operating mechanisms and any special features.
  • All Wood Counter Doors are designed to a standard maximum of 10 cycles per day and an overall maximum of 20,000 operating cycles for the life of the door.

Safety Edge System:

  • Featheredge:
    The bottom bar includes the Featheredge safety edge system.
    The Featheredge rolling door safety edge system includes the following features:
    • The Featheredge device will be installed on the bottom bar of the door and will automatically reverse the door if the device detects an obstruction in the downward travel of the door.
    • The Featheredge consists of a rubber boot attached below the bottom bar with an electrical switch secured to the back of the bottom bar.
    • The Featheredge operates with air wave technology and does not rely on pneumatic pressure or electrical strip contacts to operate properly.
    • The Featheredge creates an air wave that will be detected and reverse the direction of the rolling door.
    • The operation of the Featheredge is not subject to interferences by temperature, barometric pressure, water infiltration, or cuts in the rubber boot.
    • The Featheredge is connected to the motor with a coil cord.
  • Phantom Featheredge:
    The bottom bar includes the Phantom Featheredge safety edge system.
    The Phantom Featheredge rolling door safety edge system includes the following features:
    • The Phantom Featheredge device will be installed on the bottom bar of the door and will automatically reverse the door if the device detects an obstruction in the downward travel of the door.
    • The Phantom Featheredge consists of a rubber boot attached below the bottom bar with a switch secured to the back of the bottom bar.
    • The Phantom Featheredge operates with air wave technology and does not rely on pneumatic pressure or electrical contacts to operate.
    • The Phantom Featheredge creates an air wave that will be detected by the switch which reverses the downward direction of the rolling door.
    • The Phantom Featheredge does not require a connection cord or any means of electrical connection to the motor control panel.
    • The Phantom Featheredge is of fail-safe construction, and on every cycle performs a self diagnostic test. If any part of the Phantom Featheredge fails, the door closing operation changes from momentary pressure to constant pressure requiring constant pressure on the close control station to move the door in a downward motion. Repairing the Phantom Featheredge will automatically return the closing operation to momentary pressure.
    • The operation of the Phantom Featheredge is not subject to interferences by temperature, barometric pressure, water infiltration, or punctures and small tears.
    • The Phantom Featheredge performs with an extremely small amount of impact pressure.

Operation

  • Motor-operated doors operate at a speed of ½ foot per second by means of a model MGI motor operator
  • The motor operator includes an electric motor with gear reducer in oil bath, geared limit switch and emergency release for push up operation
  • The motor operator is 115 volt single phase
  • The motor starter is housed in a NEMA 1 housing and includes a 24 volt control transformer and complete terminal strip to facilitate field wiring
  • The motor operator is activated by (a 3 button push-button station) (other controls as selected) in NEMA 1 enclosure
  • The motor operator is mounted to the door bracket
  • All motor operators are U. L. Listed.

Locking Mechanisms

  • Motor-operated Wood Counter Doors are secured by means of a by means of a concealed sliding bolt deadlock in the bottom bar operated by a (thumbturn) (cylinder lock), electrically interlocked to prevent the motor from operating when the door is locked.

Installation

  • All-Rite Wood Counter Doors must installed by an authorized All-Rite representative.

Warranty

  • All-Rite Wood Counter Doors are warranted for a period of 2 years from the time of shipment against defects in workmanship and materials.
