SC-2 Crank-Operated Side Coiling Closure
Features
- Designed to a standard maximum of 6 cycles per day.
- Minimum head room clearance required
- Top and bottom track for maximum security
- Exclusive top and bottom cable mechanism to ensure consistent operation for
the life of the product and reduce the need for frequent maintenance
- Top track adjustment rods facilitate installation and allow for adjustment
after installation
- The top track consists of 3” high by 1¾” deep extruded
aluminum channel mechanically attached to a support angle with provisions
for take-up bolts to compensate for a maximum deflection of
½”.
- The bottom track consists of (a) an extruded aluminum channel installed
in a 7” wide by 4” deep opening for interior use; or (b) a channel
fabricated from steel installed in a 11” wide by 4” deep opening for
exterior use.
- The coil box is a steel frame enclosure containing the operating
mechanism, the supporting disk and the drum around which the curtain will
coil.
- Bottom cable cleanout box reduces maintenance
- Can be designed for single or multiple curved or straight openings
Curtain types & Finish
- Slats
- The door curtain consists of interconnected No. 4 galvanized
steel, stainless steel, or aluminum slats measuring 2¾” high by
¾” deep
- The finish on stainless steel slats is #4
- The finish options on aluminum slats are: mill, 204-R1 clear
anodized, bronze anodized, or black anodized
- The finish on galvanized steel slats is Finalcote, consisting of
1. Hot dipped galvanized G-90 coating consistent with ASTM A-525
2. Bonderized coating for prime coat adhesion
3. Corrosion inhibiting primer - .2 mils per side
4. Thermo-setting tan polyester top coat with a minimum thickness of
.6 mils each side
- Grille
- The grille curtain pattern will be 5014-M9 or 5015
constructed of 5⁄16” diameter horizontal steel, stainless steel or
aluminum rods on 1½” centers with vertical connecting links 9” on
center.
- For grilles, the finish on the rods will be either a galvanized
zinc coating, #2B stainless steel, mill, 204-R1 clear anodized, bronze
anodized, black anodized, or aluminum. The links will match the finish
of the rods. Galvanized steel grilles shall receive finish painting by
others to inhibit corrosion and rust.
- Wood
- The door curtain consists of interconnected double rabbited
wood slats measuring 15⁄16” high by ¾” deep and with the option of oak,
birch or Douglas Fir. For other woods,
contact our sales department.
The door curtain will be unfinished.
Operation
- Crank operated side coiling closures (doors or grilles) open and close
with a maximum of 30 pounds of effort operated by cranking in the door or
grille with a removable hand crank. This type of operation should not be
used for closures over twenty-five (25) feet in length or where there is
frequent usage or curves.
Installation
- All-Rite side coiling closures (doors or grilles) must installed by an
authorized All-Rite representative.
Warranty
- All-Rite side coiling closures (doors or grilles) are warranted for a period of
12 months from the time of shipment against defects in workmanship and materials.
