Push-up Operated Rolling Grilles

Maximum Size: This type of operation should
not be used for grilles over 160 square feet or grilles over 8 feet in
height.
Features
- Oil tempered torsion springs designed for 50,000 life cycles
- Solid 5⁄16” Aluminum Rods
- The bottom bar consists of an extruded aluminum tube measuring 4” high
by 1¾” deep and includes 2 vinyl astragals on the bottom surface of the bar.
- The guides are constructed of a continuous aluminum mounting flat
connected to 1½” by 2½” by
⅛” thick
continuous extruded aluminum guide section.
- Continuous nylon wearstrips are inserted on both sides of the guide to
eliminate metal-to-metal contact.
- The brackets are constructed of steel not less than
¼” thick
- The barrel is steel tubing of not less than 6” in diameter.
- Oil tempered torsion springs are capable of correctly counter balancing
the weight of the curtain.
- The barrel is designed to limit the maximum deflection to .03” per foot
of opening width.
- The springs are adjusted by means of an exterior wheel.
- The hood is fabricated from .040 aluminum sheet and will be formed to
fit the curvature of the brackets.
Finish:
- Bronze Anodize:
The finish on the rods and links, bottom bar, aluminum wall angle and the
aluminum guide, and on the hood, is bronze anodized.
The finish on the brackets and on the barrel is one (1) coat of bronze rust-inhibiting paint.
- Clear Anodize:
The finish on the rods and links, bottom bar, aluminum wall angle and aluminum guide,
and on the hood is 204-R1 clear anodized.
The finish on the brackets is one (1) coat of aluminum prime paint.
The finish on the barrel is one (1) coat of bronze rust-inhibiting
paint.
- Mill:
The finish on the rods and links, bottom bar, aluminum wall angle and the
aluminum guide, and on the hood, is mill finish.
The finish on the brackets is one (1) coat of aluminum prime paint.
The finish on the barrel is one (1) coat of bronze rust-inhibiting
paint.
- Stainless Steel:
The finish on the rods and links, and bottom bar is #2B.
The finish on the aluminum wall angle and the aluminum guide is 204-R1 clear anodized.
The finish on the brackets is one (1) coat of aluminum prime paint.
The finish on the barrel is one (1) coat of bronze rust-inhibiting paint.
The finish on the hood is #4.
Grille Pattern:
- Standard, for grilles to 30'0" wide:
The grille curtain will be Pattern 5014-M92 constructed of solid 5⁄16”
diameter horizontal aluminum rods on 2” centers with
⅛” aluminum hinged
vertical connecting links (⅝” deep by 3¾” high) 9” on center.
- Heavy, for all size grilles
The grille curtain will be heavy duty Pattern 5015-9 constructed of
solid 5⁄16” diameter horizontal aluminum rods with
½” tube spacers on
1½” centers with 3⁄16” thick aluminum hinged vertical connecting links
(⅝” deep by 2¼” high) 9” on center.
Other patterns, including 3” and 6” spacing are available on request. All-Rite
designers frequently work with architects and owners in the development of customized
grille patterns.
Operation
- Push-up operated grilles open and close with a maximum of 30 pounds of
effort by pulling up or down on the grille itself. This type of operation
should not be used for grilles over 160 square feet or grilles over 8 feet
in height.
Locking Mechanisms
- Push-up operated grilles are secured by means of a cylinder lock in
the bottom bar.
Installation
- All-Rite Aluminum Rolling Grilles must installed by an
authorized All-Rite representative.
Warranty
- All-Rite Aluminum Rolling Grilles are warranted for a period of
2 years from the time of shipment against defects in workmanship and materials.
