Steel Counter Door With Seal & Trim
Mounting: Between jamb mounted
Maximum Size: 10’4” wide X 6’4” high
General:
- Materials furnished with all Steel Rolling Counter Doors with Sill &
Trim include all
curtains, bottom bars, guides, brackets, hoods, operating mechanisms and any
special features.
- All Steel Rolling Counter Doors with Sill & Trim are designed to a standard maximum of 10
cycles per day and an overall maximum of 20,000 operating cycles for the life of
the door.
Materials
- The door curtain is constructed of interconnected No. 10 (1¼” high by
⅜” deep) 22 gauge galvanized steel slats.
- The bottom bar is constructed of tubular extruded aluminum measuring
15⁄16” deep by 2¼” high with a double vinyl astragal on the bottom
edge
- The integral door frame and guides are constructed of 16 gauge stainless
steel at the head and jambs and 14 gauge stainless steel at the sill.
- The sill extends 4” on either side of the wall.
- All frame joints are flush and smooth.
- The brackets are constructed of 3⁄16” thick die cast aluminum.
- The barrel is steel tubing of not less than 4” in diameter.
- Oil tempered torsion springs are capable of correctly counter balancing
the weight of the curtain.
- The barrel is designed to limit the maximum deflection to .03” per foot
of opening width.
- The hood is fabricated from 24 gauge stainless steel and is formed to fit
the square brackets.
Finish:
- The finish on the integral frame (head, jambs and sill) and on the hood is #4.
- The finish on the barrel is one (1) coat of bronze rust-inhibiting prime
paint.
- ColorCote:
The curtain and bottom bar have a ColorCote finish. ColorCote consists of the following:
1. Hot dipped galvanized G-90 coating consistent with ASTM A-653
2. Bonderized coating for prime coat adhesion
3. Factory applied Thermosetting Powder Coating applied with a minimum thickness
of 2 mils. The color is selected by the architect and is chosen from
[standard color charts] [custom color selection].
The ColorCote finish is such that there is no corrosion
when the material is subjected to salt spray resistance test
ASTM B-117 for 1000 hours.
- FinalCote:
The curtain, bottom bar, guides and hood will have a FinalCote finish.
FinalCote consists of the following:
1. Hot dipped galvanized G-90 coating consistent with ASTM A-653
2. Bonderized coating for prime coat adhesion
3. Corrosion inhibiting primer - .2 mils per side
4. Thermo-setting tan polyester top coat with a minimum thickness of .6 mils
each side
Operation
- Push-up operated doors open and close with a maximum of 30 pounds of
effort utilizing finger lifts in the bottom bar. This type of operation
should not be used for doors over 10 feet wide.
Locking Mechanisms
- The push-up doors are secured by means of a concealed sliding bolt
deadlock in the bottom bar operated by a [thumbturn] [cylinder lock].
Installation
- All-Rite Steel Rolling Counter Doors with Sill & Trim must installed by an
authorized All-Rite representative.
Warranty
- All-Rite Steel Rolling Counter Doors with Sill & Trim are warranted for a period of
2 years from the time of shipment against defects in workmanship and materials.
