Model VS - Vertical Storing Dock Leveler
I-Beam Construction Comes complete with hydraulic lip and deck cylinders. Type: Recessed, pit installed hinged dock leveler in vertical storing. Electro-hydraulic operated with independent control of deck and lip. Vertical Travel: Working range of 12" (305mm) above and 6" (152mm) below dock level. Automatic Vertical Compensation: Unit provides float of 12" (305mm) above and 6" (152mm) below dock level. Lip Operation: Hydraulically powered lip (double acting cylinder) controlled independently of main deck cylinder. Lip will yield under impact of incoming truck. The length of the lip extension shall not be less than 16" (406mm) from the ramp edge. Hydraulic Operating System: Easy to operate, quiet and smooth cycling. Electro-hydraulic raising and hydraulic lowering of the dock ramp controlled from a remote multi pushbutton station. Includes means of lowering the dock ramp below platform level with lip retracted behind dock bumpers. Unit shall come complete with a 1HP, totally enclosed fan cooled (TEFC) motor and equipped with overload protection. Power unit remote mounted and comes with wall mounting bracket and 18’ (5486mm) of hydraulic hose. Remote PB Control Station: Provide a multiple push button control station with constant pressure “UP”, “LIP OUT”, “DOWN” and thermal “RESET” buttons. Control station is NEMA12 (dust tight and drip proof)) rated, 8 ¾”W x 11 ½”H x 7 ¼”D (222 x 292 x 184mm) in size). Rated Capacity: Welding procedure compliant with A.W.S.D1.1 98 specifications. All units rated in compliance with ANSI MH14.1. UL approved electrical components. Standard capacities available in 30,000lb and 35,000lb (13,636kg and 15,909kg). Saves energy costs and reduces spillage by allowing truck doors to be
opened once the truck is parked. Overhead door closes flush on pit floor for
added energy savings. The VS Series is installed in a shallow continuous pit
and includes a "controlled lowering" hydraulic system – individual buttons
for up, lip out, down and reset. Dock attendant must push and hold button to
lower unit.
