TL85 Hydraulic Vehicle Restraint System
The TL-85 Truck Restraint provides superior restraining power to keep vehicles locked to the loading dock. Gone are the days of unsafe chocking. The TL-85's unique hydraulic ’gate’ design swings up to confine the rear impact guard within the restraining area. Combined with the ability to service trucks with rear impact guard from 12” to 29” above ground and horizontal ranges of 0” to 12” beyond the face of the dock, the TL-85 accommodates the widest range of vehicles. Bent rear impact guards included. Keeping maintenance to a minimum is everyone's objective, including ours. So the non-impact TL-85 is designed with only 3 moving parts. Adjustments are not necessary. And Zinc plating is applied to battle body corrosion in harsh climates. The TL-85 continues to fight against mishap and mayhem on the other side of the drop-off zone with the TL-85 Communications Control Center. This combination of signal lights and controls advises both the truck driver and dock attendant of safe/unsafe, park/depart conditions. As an added feature, our TL-85 with remote power pack is an effective anti-theft device for unattended trailers. Typical Product Application: Top-of-the-line, hydraulically powered vehicle restraint device designed to maximize employee safety by securing trailers to the loading dock and prohibit unscheduled departure during loading/unloading operations. Type: Electro-hydraulic operated non-impact design. Driveway/wall mounted. Overall body dimensions not to exceed 13”W x 27”L x 17”H (330 x 686 x 432mm). Vertical Restraining Range: From 12” to 29” (305mm to 737mm) above grade. Horizontal Restraining Range: From 0” to 12” (305 mm) beyond the face of the dock. Mounting System: Driveway and dock face mounting using 6 wedge anchor bolts ⅝” dia. x 6” long (16 x 152mm). Transfer of pulling force to driveway improves restraining strength by equalizing forces on anchors. Trailer rear impact guard (ICC bar) during backing in does not impact restraint’s body. Operating System: ½ hp, 115/1/60 TENV (Totally Enclosed Non-Ventilated) motor in remote location on 20” (6096mm) hydraulic hose, controlled from a NEMA12 rated remote control station with ”ON”, ”OFF” and key control. Communication System: Interior red and green indicator lights in the control station. Exterior red and green high visibility traffic style lights and mirror image driver’s warning signs. The lighting system alerts both dock attendant and truck driver to the status of the restraint. If vehicle has no restraining ICC bar, the interior and exterior communications lights will flash red, warning the dock attendant that the vehicle is not secured and requires wheel chocks. Rated Capacity: Welding procedure compliant with A.W.S.D1.1 98 specifications. Unit provides restraining strength up to 55,000lb (25,000kg) and mounting force of 75,000lb (34,000kg).
