Communication System Components Interior sign directs lift truck operator to load/unload on green light signal only. Control Panels Combination control panels combine the controls for loading dock equipment such as Vehicle Restraint System, Hydraulic Dock Leveler, Overhead Door and Inflatable Dock Shelter into a single common panel. This ensures proper use and sequencing of equipment for increased safety and ease of operation. PLC activation is available for more complex interlocking and sequencing. Typical Product Application: An economical, manually operated vehicle restraint device designed to secure trailers to the loading dock and prohibit unscheduled departure during loading/unloading operations. Type: Manually operated non-impact design. Vertical Restraining Range: From 11” to 29” (279mm to 737mm) above grade. Horizontal Restraining Range: From 0” to 13” (330mm) beyond the face of the dock. Mounting System: Driveway and dock face mounting using 6 wedge anchor bolts, ⅝” dia. x 6” long (16 x 152mm). Transfer of pulling force to driveway improves restraining strength by equalizing forces on anchors. Trailers rear impact guard (ICC bar) during backing in does not impact restraint body. Operating System: Dock attendant deploys and releases restraint arm manually with control handle supplied with unit. Communication Sign Package: Exterior driver warning signs. Communication Lights System (Optional): System includes exterior driver warning signs and red and green indicator lights. Control station includes red and green indicator lights and shall be NEMA12 (oil and dust resistant) rated with &dquo;ON”, “OFF” and “FLASHER” toggle switch. Overall dimension of control station not to exceed 8”W x 10”H x 5½”D (203 x 254 x 140mm). Exterior red and green lights shall be plastic and not exceed 9½”W x 4 ¾”H x 3”D (241 x 121 x 76mm). When restraint arm is not activated, the interior light is red and the exterior light is green. When dock attendant deploys restraint arm, interior light automatically changes to green, exterior light to red. Lights automatically reverse when restraint arm is released. Rated Capacity: Welding procedure compliant with A.W.S.D1.1 98 specifications. The ML-10 unit provides restraint strength up to 55,000lb (25,000kg) and mounting force of 75,000lb (34,090 kg). Construction & Finish: Welded structural steel housing with plastic cover. Restraining arm is constructed of 1” (25mm) thick steel and is of a non-impact design. To resist corrosion and reduce maintenance, housing is zinc plated and main hinge pin is made of stainless steel.
