DOCK LEVELER:

Type: Recessed, pit installed hinged dock leveler. Electro-hydraulic operated.

Vertical Travel: Working range of 12” (305mm) above and 12” (305mm) below dock level.

Automatic Vertical Compensation: Unit provides float of 12” (305mm) above and 12” (305mm) below dock level.

Automatic Lateral Compensation: Provides maintained side-to-side deck tilt of up to 4” (101mm) to compensate for canted truck beds.

Lip Operation: Hydraulically powered lip. Lip will yield under impact of incoming truck and will automatically drop pendant upon truck’s departure. The length of the lip extension shall not be less than 16” (406mm) from the ramp edge.

Hydraulic Operating System: Easy to operate, quiet and smooth cycling. Electro-hydraulic raising and hydraulic lowering of the dock ramp controlled from a remote single or multi (pending model specified) pushbutton station. Includes means of lowering the dock ramp below platform level. The loaded ramp’s free fall is limited to not over 3” (76mm) by a hydraulic velocity fuse. Unit shall come complete with a 1HP, totally enclosed fan cooled (TEFC) motor and equipped with overload protection. Power pack mounted underneath the deck ramp.

Remote PB Control Station:  Provide a single operation push button control station with constant pressure “I” (UP), and thermal “R” (RESET) button. Control station is NEMA4 (water and dust tight) rated, 3¼”W x 6½”H x 5⅛”D (83 x 165 x 130mm) in size.


VEHICLE RESTRAINT:

Type: Electro-hydraulic operated non-impact design. Wall mounted. Overall body dimension 13”W x 27”L x 11”H (330 x 686 x 279mm) plus back mounting plate.

Vertical Restraining Range: From 12” to 29” (305 to 737mm) above grade.

Horizontal Restraining Range: From 0” to 12” (0 to 305mm) beyond the face of the dock.

Mounting System: Dock face mounting using 6 wedge anchor bolts ⅝” dia. x 6” long (16 x 152mm). Transfer of pulling force to driveway improves restraining strength by equalizing forces on anchors. Trailer rear impact guard during backing in does not impact restraint’s body.


Operating System: ½ HP, 115⁄1⁄60” Totally Enclosed Non-Ventilated (TENV) motor in remote location on 24’ (7,315mm) hydraulic hose, controlled from a NEMA12 (dust tight and drip proof)) rated. remote Push-button control station with “ON”, “OFF” and “Override” key control.

Communication System: Interior red and green indicator lights in the control station. Exterior LED red and green high visibility traffic style lights and direct and mirror image driver's warning signs. The lighting system alerts both dock attendant and vehicle driver to the status of the restraint. If vehicle has no restraining Rear impact guard, the interior and exterior communications lights will flash red, warning the dock attendant that the vehicle is not secured and requires wheel chocks.

Rated Capacity: Welding procedure compliant with A.W.S.D1.1 98 specifications. All units rated in compliance with ANSI MH14.1. UL approved electrical components. Capacities available from 30,000lb to 80,000lb (13,636kg to 36,370kg). Structural deck support to include minimum six each high-tensile solid steel I-beam members. Restraint rated at 35,000 lb (15,909kg) pull-out force and 100,000lb (45,454kg) mounting force.

Finish and Colour:

Dock Leveler: Toe guards painted safety yellow as specified by ANSI Z535.1. Remainder of unit painted gray. High visibility OSHA safety striping on stationary side toe guards.

Vehicle Restraint: Welded structural steel housing. Restraint arm is constructed of 1½” thick solid steel and is of a non-impact design. The housing protects all components from damage from weather, dirt and debris. NEMA6 submersible rated switch, remote power pack location and cylinder vented to power pack reservoir protects from water damage. To resist corrosion and reduce maintenance, housing is zinc plated, main hinge pin is made of stainless steel and cylinder rod has nitride coating.

Traffic Lights: The housing shall be a one-piece molded yellow polypropylene with protective tunnel visors. The lenses shall be 4¼” (107mm) diameter of red and green color. Overall body 6⅜”W x 11⅜”L x 3¾”D (161 x 289 x 95mm) in size.

Warranty:
Standard ten-year structural on dock leveler, 5 year structural on vehicle restraint, and five-year on power pack. One-year parts and labor warranty from date of shipment. All warranties are subject to standard limitations on liability.  Consult All-Rite for full details.
